Product description
An anti-snoring device is a type of medical equipment designed to reduce or eliminate snoring. Snoring is commonly caused by the obstruction of the airways during sleep and can be attributed to various factors such as obesity, nasal congestion, enlarged tonsils, and more.
These devices work in different ways to address snoring. Some are worn in the mouth or nose to maintain an open airway, while others use gentle vibrations or sounds to stimulate the user and prevent them from entering deep stages of sleep where muscle relaxation leads to snoring.
Here are some examples of how anti-snoring devices can be described in English:
1. **Nasal Dilators**: These are strips or clips that fit over the bridge of the nose to help keep the nasal passages open. They can be described as "discreet and easy-to-use nasal dilators that fit comfortably on the nose to facilitate breathing and reduce snoring."
2. **Mandibular Advancement Devices (MADs)**: These devices fit into the mouth and adjust the position of the jaw to increase the space at the back of the throat. They can be described as "customizable oral appliances that reposition the jaw to open the airway and are often recommended by dentists or sleep specialists."
3. **Tongue Retaining Devices (TRDs)**: These devices hold the tongue in a forward position to prevent it from blocking the airway. They can be described as "small, spoon-like devices that are worn in the mouth to keep the tongue from falling back and causing obstruction."
4. **Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Machines**: Used for treating sleep apnea, these machines deliver a continuous flow of air to keep the airway open. They can be described as "effective treatment devices for sleep apnea that use air pressure to maintain an open airway, reducing or eliminating snoring."
5. **Positional Therapy Devices**: Designed to prevent sleeping on the back, which can exacerbate snoring. They can be described as "devices that encourage side sleeping through the use of vests, pillows, or special mattresses, helping to minimize snoring."
6. **Snoring Pillows**: These are ergonomically designed pillows that support the head and neck to reduce snoring. They can be described as "supportive pillows that help align the head and neck, reducing pressure on the airway and alleviating snoring."
7. **Snoring Sprays**: These are sprays that lubricate and soothe the throat, reducing snoring. They can be described as "easy-to-use sprays that help to moisturize the throat, reducing vibration and snoring during sleep."
8. **Snoring Rings**: These are rings worn on the fingers that claim to use acupressure to relieve snoring. They can be described as "acupressure rings that apply pressure to specific points on the finger to help alleviate snoring according to traditional Chinese medicine principles."
It's important to note that the effectiveness of anti-snoring devices can vary from person to person, and it's always recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before using any device, especially if you have a underlying medical condition such as sleep apnea.

Digital production of dentures
Hesheng Dental Lab is also working digitally. Professionals know it: perfect dentures can be made in just a few steps with meticulous work! From scanning, milling, and 3D printing to customization and firing, everything is done in our laboratories with extreme precision and the highest level of dental technology. In the digital production of dentures, we use advanced technology: CAD/CAM scanners and milling technology as well as 3D printing processes.
A big practical advantage is the use of the 3Shape Unite app. Here, dentists can easily upload scan data and transfer it to our dental lab – for a smooth workflow. Then we will take care of the implementation.
Steps in the production of digital dentures:
(1) A laser scanner is used to scan the patient's dental impressions.
(2) Intelligent software transmits the data to the milling unit or to the 3D printer
(3) Dentures are milled or 3D printed from ceramic blocks using the latest precision technology.
(4) Machined dentures are hand-adjusted by experienced dental technicians to perfectly match the individually chosen tooth colour and fit.
(5) The ceramics are fired at high temperatures in a sintering furnace.
In the past, impressions were made so that dental technicians could accurately see the relationship between dentition and teeth. If you only scan and no longer use the denture model, you will not be able to check how well your new dentures fit with other teeth. This reduces the quality. With 3D printing, we're safe. This means that we can quickly and easily create plastic tooth models based on the scan data and get more accurate results.Hesheng Dental Lab is also working digitally.
